Mission ArtSpan, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, builds a community by connecting the public to visual arts in San Francisco. Through SF Open Studios, youth and adult education, and art-centric events, ArtSpan creates a platform for artists to thrive, fostering a Bay Area that values the arts. Hours and Location ArtSpan Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM ArtSpan Board of Directors John F. Melvin, Chair, is a San Francisco artist and a former public finance banker with a major investment bank. He has participated in six SF Open Studios events and is a member of the Oakdale Studios Group. Michael Yochum, Vice-Chair Staff Thérèse F. Martin, Executive Director, oversees ArtSpan's direction and worked as ArtSpan's program manager/coordinator from 1999 - 2005. She was a SF Open Studios artist in 2001, is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University in Executive Business Adminstration and a BFA in Art History from the University of Kansas. Jennifer Mullen, Program and Event Director, oversees the SF Open Studios Exhibition, Selections, Private Preview Gala, the Art for City Youth Program, and satellite art exhibitions. Jennifer acts as Editor-in-Chief of the SF Open Studios Guide and has five years of professional writing and editorial experience. She holds a BA in Communications and Public Relations from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA. Lindsay Barrick, Communications and Operations Manager, joined ArtSpan in 2006 and manages the SF Open Studios registration process as well as the annual Benefit Art Show and Auction. She produces ArtSpan's monthly eNewsletter and acts as Managing Editor of the SF Open Studios Guide. She holds a BA in English Literature and French Language from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY. Emily Boyle, Project Assistant, recently joined ArtSpan in June 2008, after completing an internship in Spring 2008. She supports the annual Benefit Art Show and Auction, SF Open Studios registration and Exhibition, as well as the Art for City Youth Program. She holds a BA in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics, from Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA.
