Artist Statement

"My work is at once very personal and also very iconic and universal.  I enjoy working with a variety of archetypal and classical situations in a way that let's me visually explore and reconstruct the ideas within. I'm constantly pushing my self harder in order to create that singularly complex and passionate moment.  Each piece is it's own story and as the stories begin to overlap, the collective work begins to form a more intricate dialogue."

 "My art is often allegorical about the state of art. There is a stillness and a heaviness that I enjoy in classical works and it is with respect to this heritage that I let the past inform the modern.  To me, art is very serious business. History is always involved."
