Financial Aid
In 2009, ArtSpan began offering financial aid to artists for SF Open Studios, specifically artists on an income-based city, state, or federal assistance program.
Artists with a gross household income that is less than $25,000, assets that are less than $3,000, and who are not a dependent may also qualify.
If eligible, the SF Open Studios registration fees are reduced to:
$100 (from $175) for the Premier Artist Membership
$50 (from $100) for the Participating Artist Membership
All registration materials must be submitted by the appointed deadlines
Apply to ArtSpan's SF Open Studios Financial Aid program by submitting the following materials:
A letter requesting aid (include your name, mailing address, e-mail, and phone number)
The first page of your most recent tax return
OR
Confirmation that you are on an income-based assitance program, such as Section 8 Rental Voucher, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, California Lifeline Telephone Program, California Alternate Rates for Energy, or Family Electric Rate Assistance Program.
